PLAYING THE GAME

This is my big mural in collaboration with my brother Deih at Art-Ate Festival. Torrepacheco, Murcia.

We are brothers but we did not paint everything I would like, in this case it was a special occasion because it was to paint together in a festival and also a fairly large wall.

I’m trying out a new style on paper and wanted to move it to the wall, do something I had never done in a wall and less on such a large scale, it was quite risky and complicated, but I did it equally. I love challenges and overcoming myself.

In this case the characters represent us, and our professional career, we play a game, the game of being a contemporary artist, painting walls, festivals, Deih is already very involved in that game, and I’m starting now and so the idea of the game, the two playing the same game, is a bit like: Hey I’m here, with you and I’ve come to play!
