ROBOTS IN LOVE

ROBOTS IN LOVE

This is my piece within the Cast Away event, event formed by artists from Valencia, Menorca and Mallorca, within the programming of La Nit de l’Art de Mallorca. Castaway artists who come from the sea with their art to the island of Mallorca, to paint and with this, revitalize a neighborhood in decline, the neighborhood of «El Terreno». Event that had the backing of the City Council of Palma de Mallorca and the CAC ses voltes (Center for Contemporary Art).

In this case I also took care of the graphic part of the event, making the design of posters and images for the web and social networks. Thanks to Frank Picazo and his professional team for making this event easy.

In principle we were going to paint only a wall because to contact the owners and get the permits is quite complicated, once there, it was much easier, when the neighbors saw us painting, they immediately offered their walls to be painted by the artists. We painted a collective wall all together and then some of us painted satellite walls around that wall.

This is my mural in the back of a mythical disco in Palma de Mallorca, Tito’s. The facade had a silver structure that we saw that it was propitious to include it inside a mural, with my friend and artist Hombrelópez, we thought we could take advantage of the structure to release a beam of light, and later I thought what I could put inside the beam of light and I decided that I had two robots in love hugging each other. I’m really proud of this piece.

I hope you like it.

OMG. Love the work. Back in the days, I was on a trip in Mallorca with kids, and have seen your art from the bus, took a photo through the bus window to find out artist later via google images search. Recently I’ve reviewed that photo and decided to take a shot and search. And here it is. The scene, the composition is amazing, and a screw and hex above the robots are some a nice touch with sense. Do you sell any posters?
