This is the mural that we painted Pincho and I at the COMIC WALLS Festival, in El Provencio, in La Mancha.
Originally we were going to do trio with DEIH, but it had setbacks and we were in pair Pincho and me. We had the two hour drive from Valencia to La Mancha to make our brainstorming out of phase in Faemino and Tired. When we arrived at the wall we began to feel impulses and we were deciding what ideas to shape and how, always with a lot of freedom, and with very open ends where we can flow without barriers.
The two of us wanted first of all, to enjoy ourselves, to leave our comfort zone, to experiment, to paint, to cross each other, to mix, to have fun painting and thinking about something global, not if we can see that it is a xèlon or if it is mine or is my style, we try to make a mutual style, together, create something new and enjoy doing it, going from egos and insecurities and leaving behind all scruples and barriers, nothing more than make a good wall to stay really happy, the we feel proud as both artists and crane partners.
For me it has been a vital, pictorial and personal experience. Painting with Pincho was something I wanted to do for a long time, and having this opportunity has been great. He is an exceptional draftsman, and with his own super rich universe and tremendously attractive to me, his simplicity and synthesis, together with the delicacy of his compositions are overwhelming. And as a person and companion of wanderings, it has no rival, super easy everything, a luxury. I have learned a lot from him, as a person and as an artist and it has been a real luxury to enjoy side by side painting at his side.
The festival was perfectly organized by Pedro A. El Freskales of La Mancha Colors and Trigueros of the Town Hall of El Provencio, which have treated us super well and have made it worth it to be 12 hours a day on the crane by day and by night .
Also painting in a comic book festival, such as the 7th edition of the El Provencio Comic Fair, where Marvel and DC professionals, publishing houses and comic shops, with exhibitions and related activities has been much more enriching and attractive for us , lovers of comic and drawing. Rise of piece.
I wish I were closer so I could see her more often and keep learning. Thank you Pincho!
